February 1st, 2026: Publican and the Pharisee

The parable of the Pharisee and the Publican reminds us that simply being religious is not enough if our hearts become proud and we start measuring ourselves against others. True repentance begins when we stand honestly before God like the publican and pray, “O God, be merciful to me, a sinner,” allowing His mercy to heal us.
