Parish Life

A parish is not an event you attend—it is a life you share.

Life Together at St. John’s

At St. John the Merciful, parish life grows out of worship. We gather to pray, and from that worship we learn to belong—to show up, to serve, to celebrate, to carry one another’s burdens, and to grow in Christ together. Whether you are visiting for the first time or have been with us for years, this is where shared life takes shape.

What We Mean by “Parish Life”

Parish life is the steady work of learning to love. It is coffee hour conversations and choir rehearsals. It is showing up early to set up chairs, staying late to clean up, bringing a meal to someone who is sick, and remembering one another in prayer. Over time, what begins as attendance becomes belonging.

If You’re New

If you are visiting St. John’s for the first time, begin simply by coming to Sunday Divine Liturgy and staying for coffee hour afterward. Don’t worry about doing everything “right.” We will help you find your footing. If you have children, bring them. You belong here.
